You won the auction - get this - then had to pay by paypal IMMEDIATELY after it ended; not 3 days, within 1 week etc. I read between the lines, and determined that he basically didn't have the records, but had the contact in the US. This, I assumed, was then sent off to the US and A and he was sent the record. He then sends the record out to you when he gets it. I'd had some problems the first time I dealt with him, and he got a bit personal. I thought we'd sorted out the problem the 2nd time I won one of his items, but he was even worse. The record in question was Philip James on Longwood, and after reading his ebay feedback, noticed he'd had problems with delivery of that record previously, which caused alarm bells to ring. He'd had some particularly nasty feedback from peed-off Funk collectors too. I eventually got the record 6-8 wks late and never dealt with the man again. Although he maintained contact, the obvious lies/threats he put in the emails confirmed what type of person he was. Basically, don't deal with him or send him any money whatsoever! But suggesting a solution to the situation - on a public forum! - where killing and beating up people seems to be the prefered way of "taking care" of things is, how shall I put it... not very smart. CB I can confirm this as well, I had major problems with this guy about 1.5 years ago, and after doing some research I discovered quite a few people who had been ripped off by him/his girlfriend, including our mutual friend in Japan. As others have said, avoid these two at all costs. They probably do switch ebay IDs often, just look out for their names/addresses if nothing else and steer clear. Best of luck to all of those who have dealt with this Canadian guy as well, what a nightmare. He gets the record, you get your money taken away from Paypal and probably get your whole account screwed up as well. He scammed me with a paypal chargeback and my account was frozen for quite some time, causing serious problems doing business with many of my other customers until it was fixed. I convinced Paypal to refund half of the money in the end (they agreed after looking at his ebay/Paypal/buying history and seemed to realize he was a crook), but it took a pretty long time and a lot of phone calls. However, if you send it registered you have proof of mailing and you should have no problem if he pulls this crap on you.....something I wish I had done (of course he may refuse to pay for extra services like registed/insured etc so it can be a no-win). We have not found a transaction between you and this member in the last 60 days. For privacy purposes, it is eBay's policy that User IDs are not revealed to members who are not involved in current or recent transactions with each other. See how they react. Contact Customer Support Report listing violations or problems with another eBay member. otherwise why not get in touch with a legal advisor over in Canada, I know this will cost money but at least this might bring a solution of the problem...at least you can get information on the legal steps to get your money back. Since the money was sent as Registered mail I suppose you have some sort of legal right if the mail was received and signed for. And you seem to have all the seller's information... check out these for free legal information on your problem.
