Have to say it's dire though Gene......might be an obscure cover version but it doesn't equal or better the velvelettes . Might have worked late 70's but no need to be played now......dj's must have something better to play than that? I'd hope anyway! Alright for a £1 though

The lead singer does not sound like Barbara Kay. Mike Morton could have used possibly one of four female singers on the lead. Anybody know which one it was ?

I've always like the Blue Sharks version. The production reminds me of Sandy Wynns, Patrice Holloway, etc.... probably the same reason others like it.

Because it`s a later, more polished version and a better version at that.
