Gasher Posted October 28, 2006 Share Posted October 28, 2006 GOT THIS IN THE MAIL TODAY WHAT WAS HE THINKING NOT ONLY WAS IT A GOOD COMPANY SLEEVE FOLDED AT THE FOUR CORNERS AN RUINED I THOUGHT ID BOUGHT A WEIRD SHAPED RELEASE BUT I GOT A MESSAGE FROM GOD TOO TELLING ME TO KEEP AWAY FROM THE BLACK 7" WHATEVER THAT MEANS??? A friend of mine who collects rocksteady gets some pretty funny looking packages from JA, lots of string and old newspapers and often not square. Where did your's come from? Codfromderby Posted October 30, 2006 Share Posted October 30, 2006 ive had one of these almost identical, cant remember who from though,but i can remember who ever sent it could have contributed to a worldwide shortage of brown parcel tape, it took me about an hour to get my record out, talking of bizzare packaging whenever i look at my styrene phillips copy of bobby hutton i shudder to think how it arrived in one peice from new york posted in only a letter type envelope with no protection, it was also covered in what appeared to be gravy powder Link to comment Social source share More sharing options...

My favorite mailing expereince was when one of the Tyn Tymes sent me a copy of their 45 in its pic sleeve in the mid to late 90's. I came home one day to find it wrapped only in a brown paper envelope with no stiffeners but if that wasn't high risk enough, the postman for some reason had left it ON MY DOORSTEP in seven sisters (tottenham) where I lived at the time.... incredibly it was in perfect condition..... and actually still there Link to comment Social source share More sharing options...
