Guest ZTSC
Evening all - just about recovered now but my heads still in turmoil after so much quality music last night. The quality of DJ's / attendees / dancers is always second to none and for me and other people I talked with all agreed that this 'institution' really is capable of taking soul music to another level. QUALITY all the way ! It's not fair to single out anyone as " the best" or "the rarest" etc because here we have a group of people who travel from far and wide to enjoy each others company and to simply come and listen, talk about and dance to high quality soul music whatever the price The numbers were down a bit but the standard was a high as ever. Anyway my playlist which was discussed at length on the way down and which went totally to rat shit and bang went the plan for some reason Back to back with Baz we spun two each and so heres my little lot :- The O Jays - It Wont Hurt - Imperial Bobby Bland - I Aint Myself Anymore - Duke The Esquires - When I'm Ready - Bunky Mill Evans - Things Won't Be The Same - Constellation The Volcanoes - Help Wanted - Arctic Ronnie West - Lil Woman - Goins Nathan Williams - Reaching Higher - United Artists ( think I played it ?) Rotations - I Can't Find Her - De Brossard Jesse Fisher - Your Not Loving A Beginner - Way Out The Fantastic Four - Pin Point It Down - Soul Mark Putney - Todays Man - Ovide Oscar Wright - Fell In Love - Fairmount Johnny Moore - What More Can I Do - Larry O The time just flew by and before we knew it big Steve Green was ready to take over (and what a belter it was too !) An absolutely brillant night with people rushing up to the decks all night to see what was what. That's what I like about Soul or Nothing because the next record can be anything ,there are always loads of surprises in abundance , and it's a place where we can share our music with each other. Thanks to everyone who made it but especially the travellers from Gloucester and Dundee. .Kev J Edited November 5, 2006 by ZTSC Link to comment

Top tunes, well worth the drive over even after an earlier 12 miles walk in the Yorkshire Dales.
