Guest stash313
Hi Dave, Blackburn's one of my favourite night outs. Not for the Northern room but for the two fantastic rooms downstairs the Jazz Funk Room and The Modern room. A top crowd in both rooms and although the music isn't as cutting edge as some other venues the numbers tell their own story. Which is pretty much the same upstairs in the Northern room a massive crowd over the whole venue and always a great atmosphere. If you're into your 'big feel' events ala Stoke KGH is the night for you. Dj wise upstairs usually from Ginger Taylor, Neil Jones, Bob Hinsley, Terry Davies music wise your classics and a smattering of Motown. Downstairs Jazz Funk room Mark Grice, Ian Bad Vibes and the legend that is Colin Curtis. Modern room Richard Searling, Baz Maleady, Mike Stephens, Andy Davies. If I'm not working I'll be there as usual. Hope that helps... Link to comment
Jaco
Just about sums it up to a t.Great night, big attendances - not always the obvious floor-fillers, but once every three months or so is about right for the sounds generally on offer. Think the downstairs rooms sometimes have the edge as better atmosphere at times. Hope to be there. Link to comment
Guest Dodger
smattering Sean, see what happens when you mix with old people? You start talking their lingo. I bet your Uni mates would give you some merciless piss-taking if you used that word in front of them!!! Link to comment

Went to KRs Wigan Anniversary Night there last year!. Worst soul nite I have ever been in 30 Years!!.......... Sorry!. As it was the Casino Anniv nite we thought we might get to hear some of the lesser played Gems from Wigan.......... Instead we got Frank Wilson Played FIVE times!!, the Five and a Penny cover played FOUR times!!....... I kid you not!. Was a decent enough line up of jocks, but they seemed to just want to stick on a Goldmine CD and pick up their Fee!!. Needless to say never went back this year! Cant speak for the 'other' rooms though!. Link to comment
