hooray this is my favourite day, but can't join in because I don't know how to convert wmp's to mp3's

think I'm gonna buy one of them usb things later on today

a woman at home all day with a credit card is not always a good combination

I've got one of those at home ... not a USB turntable - a woman at home all day with a credit card!

NO ONE TO LOVE ME - gene middleton and the funk factory - funk factory

11256 refosoul

Top tune but far too short, always reminds me of my initial introduction to this type of 'tuneage' at Casa Del Flanders in the mid 90s. Quick phone call from Flanny 'I'm selling some tunes', three hours later, sat in his house about 45 singles better off but about two grand worse off (about ten grand at today's prices)!!

Sha La La Bandit - delores hall - rca lp

Nice effort, not far off Sandra Wright's version imo.

Supremes' version is also v. nice, as I'm sure you know...

Few nice tracks on that album...thanks for the reminder, think I'll have a listen to it

nice lp that .c.a.t one on magnaglide...after a while nearly all the songs on it sound the same imo, but still pretty good

bit of a lame recording/pressing if my brain serves me right.

And looking at the cover, not one that exactly jumps out of the racks and says 'buy me, I'm a soul album'

yeah looks like your avatar but without the nodding.

even the cover is thin like a u.k issue....flimsy and all that

craig moerer used to have it, was around $50 if i recall

maybe it will have its day...or has it ?

...It wasn't originally released, it came out for the first time on that double post-Diana Ross Supremes Anothology that came out a couple of years ago. I'll try to get it up here when I get home tonight...

TONE

Said It Long Time Ago - reverend tl barratt - 7 inch

11264 refosoul

Always loved this as well.

Yeah, me too - and the unbelievable modern soul version of "The Lord's Prayer" on the other side is just as essential, IMO!
