Visual grade: VG to VG+ €300 Billy Davis – Stanky (get funky) / I’ve tried – Cobblestone 731 In demand driving northern dancer. Clean copy, plays perfect. Visual grade: VG+ to EX €225 Clarence Coulter & Angela Davis – Ain’t nothing wrong with that Pt I/II – Flaming Arrow 237 Rare Detroit funk 45 in pristine condition. Visual grade: M- €170 Billy Hamlin – Would it make any difference to you – Stout Ultra obscure deep soul with potential on the popcorn scene. Way rarer than ‘Got no bread’. Visual grade: EX €150 The Superial band – Can’t help my self / Night to remember – Superial Band 1000 Mid-70s killer on the edge between funk and modern. Virtually impossible to locate. Visual grade: VG, warp NAP €150 The Dream Merchants – Stop (you’re breaking my heart) / Give up (all I’ve got) – Renee 5002 Stone mint copy of this in-demander that probably needs no further introduction. Visual grade: M- €125 Tee Fletcher – Happy loving you / Pardon me while I cry – Shurfine 019 Driving northern dancer that’s starting to pick up plays. A lot of copies have bubbly pressings but this is clean and crisp. Visual grade: M- €120 The Conqueroo – I’ve got time / 1 to 3 – Sonobeat 103 Laid-back late 60s Texas garage rarity. No PS but very clean vinyl. Visual grade: EX to M- €100 Bonnie Floyd and the Original Untouchables – I’m just a poor boy / same – Big Yellow 1067 Semi-known funky soul that’s becoming tricky to trak down lately. Visual grade: EX €100 Gene Waiters – Shake and shingaling Pt I/II – Fairmount 1018 DJ Copy Hard hitting funk 45 that’s hard to find in this condition. Comes with a crisp matching company sleeve. Visual grade: EX €80 Turbine – Do you want to boogie / I don’t wanna know – Onix 001 Largely unknown Miami boogie 45. Some smaller marks but plays excellent. Visual grade: VG €80 George McKinney Jr – Dance to the funky groove / The things I do for you – Hi Steppin 62047 Overlooked but quality boogie obscurity. Super clean copy. Visual grade: M- €70 The Supreme Teens – It’s the same old story / I think it’s me – Lowery 004 Obscure girl group double sider. Beautiful copy. Visual grade: EX to M- €75 Herbie Williams and The Electric Connection – Funky from the git go Pt I/II – El Toro 1001 Top drawer Detroit deep funk in very clen condition. Visual grade: M- €70 Larry Dunn featuring Luisa – Groove patrol / Benjamins been jammin – Source Productions 701 Mid-80s private boogie 45 from Michigan. Visual grade: M- €70 Sonny Hines – I can’t wait / Outskirts of town – Seeburg Discotek 5013 Mid-tempo R&B and one of the best and most sought after releases on the label. Was stored in a polythene sleeve and has some small pieces left in runout but not affecting the grooves. Visual grade: EX €65 Bobby Colt – My Charlotte / A man – Ford 130 DJ Copy Very tough to find popcorn ballad. Very clean copy. Visual grade: M- €60 Debbie S – Try my love / Beware – Flaming Arrow Suave late 80s Detroit ballad. One of the best productions on the legendary label. Visual grade: M- €60 Kam’s Hi-Landers – Um ba yao / Tell them – Kam’s 001 Very rare cosmic calypo disco. You won’t see a copy in this condition anytime soon. Visual grade: EX to M- €60 The Icemen – Sugar baby / Only time will tell – Samar 117 Funky edged northern dancer from the NY duo. Visual grade: VG+ €55 Milton Grayson – It ain’t necessarily so / You’re a part of me – Keen 2102 DJ Copy Trademark Belgian popcorn voice and an infectious rhythm merge in this little beauty. Visual grade: EX €55 Ben Sharon – Cotton pickin’ chicken pluckin’ shame / It seems this happened before – Dot 15779 R&B popcorn 45 with an intro reminiscent of the Ray Charles hit but takes off nicely in a different direction afterwards. Visual grade: VG+ €50 Corzette Holly – Holding my hand / Jumpin’ with Popeye – Flaming Arrow 47 Detroit deep soul beauty with a funk flip. Visual grade: M- €50 Black Nasty – You keep me hanging on / Instrumental – Tank 002 Deep funky version of the Supremes hit by the solid underground Detroit outfit. Visual grade: EX €50 Voni Morrison – Too broke to break / I feel sorry for me – Fantasy 607 DJ Copy Obscure rockabilly 45. Clean copy. Visual grade: VG+ to EX €50 The Precisions – If this is love / You’ll soon be gone – Drew 1003 Clean copy of this all-time Detroit floor filler. Visual grade: EX, warp NAP €50 Clara Walker & The Gospel Redeemers – Say it loud / Open up your heart – Soul Music co. 590 Obscure funky gospel and a stong personal fave. Looks unplayed but plays with a bit of noise in the beginning, same as my own copy. Visual grade: EX €50 Gene Stridel – Let her go / One more fool and one more broken heart – Verve 10247 Classic Belgian popcorn oldie. Superficial marks but plays very strong. Visual grade: VG €40 El Count Executives – I want to thank you (firme / sons of dancefloor) – Radar CBLL07 Another top drawer release on the Cannonball label. Keep em coming Alberto!
