Open! Classifieds Sales Feature on Soul Source

a quick word about a new feature now OPEN here on Soul SOurce

its called classifieds and is as it says its a basic classified system 

thinking is to offer alongside the normal forum sales a longer term deliberate classifieds method of selling that may be useful for people who do have long term sale

basically for sellers it be a sort of post and forget affair for longer term type sales

while buyers can discover long term sales by either browsing or via site search engine etc etc

 

while just opened it is now fully operational so feel free to use

will use this topic for passing on info before a more official  'news post'

back to the usefulness of this feature

if you look at a forum index you will see that on the right hand side the most recent classified items get major exposure ...

they show up on every forum index eg

It's not easy to find the classifieds section as it's only under "All Activity"

Think it would be better next to sales and wanted.

can be a bit of chicken and egg with the top menu places/structure as they do  reflect the amount and method of use of the features

at the current moment the latest adverts added do show on the main forum indexes which as only a small amount should in theory make people aware of them all

The site classifieds is back up and running 

The feature had to be 'rested' a couple of months ago due to system issues

These have now been resolved and so the feature can return

keywords for this feature...

when posting you can mark your sale as 'offer acceptable' - members can then buy direct or make an offer
if they make an offer you get informed by a pm  and can accept or reject the offer via the item page

if accept then the sales is placed as pending till payment is sorted/made

as is the case here, once complete you can mark the sale as complete
