Northern & Crossover Dancers, 60’s & 70’s style

*All are in splendidly Ex condition unless otherwise stated*

YouTube clips are added to treat your ears to something new, or to remind you how good they sound, but they’re not my records: the one’s I’m selling are pictured.

***SOLD***  Bobbie Brown – I Gotta Have You – Jacklyn £75 gritty, no nonsense, fist pumping stomper.

Bobby Foster – If You Really need A Friend / Building Up (For A Let Down) – Sound Plus £50 vg++ fab double sider: ‘Friend’ is a cracking crossover dancer, while ‘Building’ is Southern Soul balladeering at it’s best

Candy & The Kisses – Out In the Streets Again – Scepter demo £40 vg+ surface scratches & scuffs, plays far better than it looks but priced accordingly

***SOLD***Chuck Overton – Is It Possible/I’m So Thankful – Kapp £40 double sided crossover dancers.

***SOLD *** Maxine Crayton – Don’t Take Your Love – Steeltown £75 seen some mad prices bandied about for this jaunty little late 60’s dancer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxBe8ywwGjc

Reggie Soul – I Feel So Bad – Red Balloon £30 sturdy 60’s stomper from the man with a name that’s just perfect! There’s an abysmal funky thing on the flip that might appeal to some…

Sam & Bill – I’ll Try / I FeelLike Crying – Decca £50 looks vg++, plays Ex+ sturdy stomping tackle that still keeps popping up in playlists. Big, bold, brassy sound on ‘Try’ then the boys go full on Sam & Dave for some deep Sothern Soul wailing on the flip

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eEbhIMTFXg

Southwind Symphony – Coming Home / Your Love Is Fading – Glolite £45 had this forever but until last night hadn’t played it in donkeys years. Silly me, for these late 60’s/early 70’s reworkings of Lou Pride’s Suemi sides are quite splendid. Kinda slicker, jazzier versions here, both supremely easy on the ear while being fine for the dancefloor

The Winstons – Color Him Father – Metromedia £25 lovely crossover floater here
