SAM REESE: From Friday Evening Til Saturday Night * TRIODE, M-, 100.- Euro, on hold
Talking about underplayed soul 45s, this New York release never really recieved any wider recognition, mostly because it's so very hard to find. THE QUALITY CONTROLS: Grapevine * SURE-SHOT, promo, M-, sticker on lbl, 20.- Euro
The wicked character, Andre Williams, strikes again with a joke pointed at Motown and Berry Gordy. To call a studio band "Quality Controls", refering to Motown's legendary meetings where Gordy and his stuff decided what came out on his label and to cover Marvin Gaye's classic, means nothing less, that Andre Williams settled a score with Gordy by releasing this. The sticker with a gun carrying chicken on the label comes without any extra costs, that's how generous I am!

soundfile 2: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/mastersofihateyou.mp3

THE SUMMITS: It Takes Two / Let Me Love You Again * DC INTERNATIONAL, M-, 12.- Euro

soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/aretharocksteady.mp3

THE IMPRESSIONS: First Impression * CURTOM, M-, 10.- Euro
