Soul/Boogie 12”

Garfield Fleming – Don’t sent me away – Becket / VG+ / £110 (Modern soul classic! And a total evergreen, never seem to get old. Extended 12 inch mix with killer intro, much prefer this version to the 45 one. Promo copy complete with company sleeve. Record has some light sleeve marks not affecting play.)

Soul Albums

Tony Fox – The beginning – Blaster / EX/EX / £200 (Classic rare soul album title including the awesome dancers “Let, let love, and be love” and “I wanna get next to you”.)

Little Janice – Today’s youth – Pzazz / EX/EX / £175 (Rare one! Unfortunately something of a one tracker but what a track! “Since you’ve been gone” is just so good! Nice, clean copy with cover still in shrink.)

Joann Garrett – Just a taste – Chess / EX/EX / £85 (Overall nice Chicago soul album but the big standout for me is the crazy good “It’s no secret”, a real wow track.)

Reggie S – Give me back some lovin’ – Shasa / EX / £45 (Superb 1983 Orlando, Florida release. Killer modern soul indie with personal standouts being the firm two stepper ”Where’s your love”. Boogie lovers will get theirs in “Holdin’ on”, “Are you ready for me”, the title track and more. Second press with printed inlay rather than real cover.)
