PS-Soul
Attendance not the best early on last night at PF mainly due to 2 'popular' local events moving their regular nights forward but numbers increased later. Despite that it was a great night music wise , Steve Mannion did an excellent spot as he always does and the residents played there usual mix of underplayed 60's/70's quality soul with a few classic oldies as well. Some of the tunes played :- Claude Baby Huey - Why Would You Blow it Bobby Reed - The Time Is Right For Love Ascots - Few Feet From The Gutter Brand New - 1,000 Years Imperial C's - Someone Tell Her T J Williams - Baby I Need You Creations - Just Remember Me & Footsteps Bob Relf - My Kind Of Wonderful Monique - If You Love Me,Show Me Billy Keen - Wishing & Hoping Andy Fisher - My Hearts Beating Stronger Bitter & The Sweet - I Won't Have No Babies For You Masqueraders - Ain't Gonna Stop - AWESOME !! Masqueraders - Same Thing Spiedels - Dream Girl Cookie Scott - I Don't Care Lou Rawls - See You When I Get There Montclairs - Hey You Ann Heywood - Crook His Little Finger and lots more that I can't remember. Sorry Mark , had to leave before your spot but I'm sure you played Stoppers and Lee Williams amongst other top tunes. Looking forward to New Years Eve Eve night (Sat 30th Dec) Hopefully not too many events will clash and numbers will be up See You All There Paul & Sue PS - Good to see Ray again and to meet Cressy from Bentinck . Cheers Paul & Sue.... yeh, it was a shame Brighouse is brought forward a week in December (also 8th Anniversary night I was told), and also with Drax this time by a day from the Saturday to the Friday.... it splits crowds even further but no worries though.... we just carry on doing our little thing.... I seem to remember being asked for Stoppers and Lee Williams at some point so yes, they got an airing.... Some more that I can "remember" as the night got a little "blurred" as it went on .... Not complete or in any order.... Warm Up - 8.00pm-9.00pm Millionaires - And The Rains Came - Specialty TSU Toronados - Please Heart Don't Break - Rampart Street Butlers - Laugh, Laugh, Laugh - Phila Gwen Owens - I Lost A Good Thing - Velgo True Tones - He's Got The Nerve - Josie Mike & The Censations - Don't Mess With Me - Highland Steptones - Lonely One - Diamond Jim Ray & Dave - Wrong, Wrong, Wrong - Mica Ruby Winters - Better - Diamond Jo Armstead - A Stone Good Lover - Giant Barbara West - Congratulations Baby - Ronn Fantaisions - Unnecessary Tears - Satelite Admirations - Don't Leave Me - One-derful Little Hank - Try To Understand - Sound Stage 7 (demo) Commands - No Time For You - Dynamic (demo) Delilah Moore _ I'll Just Walk Away - Money TSU Toronadoes - What Good Am I - Atlantic Maryann Farra & Satin Soul - Living In The Footsteps Of Another Girl - Brunswick Last spot - 1.00am-2.00am Celest Hardie - You're Gone - Reynolds Jean Battle - I've Got To Come In - Clintone (WD) Fantastic Puzzles - Come Back - New Moon (WD) Dells - Your Song - 20th Century Fox Continental 4 - The Way I Love You - Jay-Walking Lee Williams & The Cymbals - It's Everything About You (That I Love) - Carnival Adorables - Ooh, Boy! - Golden World Ringleaders - Baby, What Has Happened To Our Love - M-Pac Sheppards - Stubborn Heart - Mirwood (WD) Stoppers - Come Back Baby - Jubilee Robert Parker - I Caught You In A Lie - Nola Funny how I'm more "brain dead" to remember the last spot playlist .... Anyway.... will see you both on the 30th for the 2 room special.... and I don't know of too much going off locally that seasonal week so hopefully it should be very good .... Then we continue as normal each and every the second Friday from February.... no January date due to the Dec 30th one.... P.S. THANKS ALSO TO EVERYONE ELSE THAT HAS CONTINUED TO SUPPORT PONDS FORGE.... seasonal best wishes from all the "Vault of Soul crew" .... Link to comment

Guest 2648 W Grand Boulevard
Havent got to Ponds Forge for a while, due to having to slightly curtail my somewhat nocturnal weekend alternative lifestyle, but by the reviews so far I will have to make an effort to attend the next one. Thanks to PS-Soul for reminding me and I'll hopefully see you two at the Frobisher on Boxing Day. Cheers, Dave Link to comment
