Just got a copy of Bill Brown & The Soul Injection "Time after Time.

having sold ‘shot for the moon’ that Accent 45 for fifty quid before it went big as they say, I now feel vindicated, this was a tenner and 100 times better:-)

actually the accent 45 sounded out of tune to me, and a tad shrill!!

Not the old party game!

What vinyl delights have you received recently? Any good bargains? Big Ticket mega 45s? Or maybe cheap and cheerful but great on the ear?

I initially read that as "great on the gear"! :hypo:

I bought this cheap, on a lovely looking demo. The vinyl is really thin like those freebie records you used to get. Nothiong chesap about the quality - absolute beautiful soul record, with superb vocals.

Damn shame.

Indeed. ☹️

Not my lucky week. Had an LP mailer arrive today, even though I hadn't bought any LP's recently.  Thought I was on to a winner when I opened it to find the mega rare Frosty & The Fun Street Gang LP, which, as you will know, is full of killer Northern monsters.  But no, inside was a damn 45. 🤔

I got one recently, a gift from someone who I've had a few soul very good packs from, on the Heritage label, the Cherry People, apparently it was huge at Wigan Casino, I didn't go so I don't know but my lass a Wigan expert and a regular for five years says it was definitely a spin there.

I love it, not what I would call 'Soul' but it has certain hallmarks of a NS spin.

Either way I love it!

Could of been played way back in the Twisted Wheel days!  Came out on a rare UK MGM in 1968.
