OTIS RUSH.............R.I.P

I'm sad to hear of Rush's departure. Sure he was a fine blues guitarist but he often cut in southern soul style . Here's his version of 'Rainy Night In Georgia' from 'Right Place, Wrong Time' LP' from 1976 and his Muscle Shoals Fame Studio recording of  the sombre 'Reap What You Sow' from 1969. The latter cut is positively menacing in the sentiment of the song.

Another true  great gone-so sad to hear. His 50's Cobra 45's are  jewels of Post-War Blues, and,as Firecrest stated above, his late 60's Muscle Shoals sides are mighty fine, too. Can't forget his 60's Duke (UK Vocalion) Northern classic 'Homework',too. A special talent,as guitarist and singer
