related songs with sun/sunshine/california

Recommended Posts

Hi Community,

I'm looking for songs which have a relation to the topics sun/sunshine/california and in between.

It's not  just the title or the lyrics. Could be the sunny sound itself and has not to be just soul music.

Thanks in advance and have nice and sunny weekend.

Best

Martin

AIN'T NO SUN SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE.

It's been recorded by The Dynamics, The Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and Chuck Jackson. But the best version is by Dusty Springfield from her album Definitely.

How about  "Look At California'  -  Maze featuring someone called Frankie Beverley! From their first album in 1977. Also, Bobby Womack's version of "California Dreaming".

Special mention as was a mega - hit here in Spain in the first 70's: "Never Rain in South California" by a pop white artist, Albert Hammond
