Recommended Posts

The three that's doing it for me at the moment are all quite new to me some people will have known them years but that's what's so good about this scene mot everyone knows everything with exception of a few lol

Promise Mr thomas varretta Dillard (big spin for sue simper in norfolk)

Wilson picket grooving

James Hunter six I don't want to be without you (the albums fantastic too)

Cheers yocky

Not that I'm aware of Andy......very much doubt it in terms of US.  Wouldn't be surprised if the 7" euphoria this side of the pond doesn't lead to a vinyl release!

Cheers,

Mark R

Would be nice to see it on the next Soul Togetherness Lp ?

I don't get bored easily, I could be really boring and say that my faves are still the same after thirty odd years, they are, but I won't bother posting up my two favourite rumbling floor-shaking Mirwoods, everyone knows 'em and everyone knows they're my faves!

So I'm gonna post one that have come to my ears from my good buddy, ace DJ Mark Sargeant, a great spin On Sag Port, Sensational Five and 'It's hard out here'...

And this one, that I'm really getting at this particular time Mamie P Galore!

Isn’t it great when you hear a tune such as Doris duke the feeling is right, look in your record room and there it is - Unplayed since Roburt sold it to me cheaply (thanks johnsoulsmith) - ha. That’s why this link is so great. Anyway it reminded me of all these three decent priced lovelies.

The Primaveras ‘the magic touch’  Great version imo , by Perpignan mod band on ltd edition local label with nice pic sleeve . More danceable than Melba Moore’s ?

Sorry Andy Got To Disagree with it being a better dance track than Melba Moore's

Nasty weak and insipid IMO , if you can't dance to Melba's choppy splendour then you've possibly been going to the wrong dance classes ...

Might be slightly biased after half a lifetime in a certain basement though ...

Sitting in The bar at the Conde Duque Gran Hotel in Madrid right now, having a beer and on comes Soul Time, and ‘Never Never leave me’ by Geradine Hunt on Roulette...

followed by Gil Scott Heron,  I guess it’s one of those streaming services, but hey that’s well cool 🙂

Hope it never  gets popular  , makes it more special  whe it's  played out
