Had so much pleasure out of listening to The Boogieman Orchestra - Lady Lady Lady over the years cannot resist giving it a blast everytime I see it in the box, one of my first buys in the late 1970's and still a huge favourite...

Currently "massive" in our house the Topics album Giving Up and the insanely rare Matt Covington album; and before my mates think I have come in to a fortune from somewhere, both these great rare albums are available for download from iTunes and probably elsewhere.

But if I had to go for 1 track it would be The Temptations - I got heaven right here on earth; the original Eddie Kendricks 1965 version

2017 / 2018 were funny years as my collection was in storage while I travelled around Europe, I picked up a few things in the most unusual places though, Albox market being one, there are s few folk on here know where that is,  but it’s a long way from everywhere would be a good discription.

So another Vinyl Dreams orig 12 of Josolyn Brown - somebody’s else’s squeeze.

Glen Anthony Harvey - Relax and Love Lp which I missed when it came out, like that an awful lot, great beat throughout and sparse production, great songs...all for a Euro each

some great Aussie festival White demos which I have a panchant for, Willie Tee - Walking up a one way street being the best one, plain label but Georgous none the less.

finally all the Disco edits,  Kent and big man (One deaful) unreleased sides which have kept me going, all quality music at very reasonable prices....

in all it’s been great but I’m not really collecting any more, I just won’t pay the prices I’m afraid,  simply become too expensive to collect original vinyl.

on the black label

Crystal Motion on on Discogs - there are 3 issues?  a silver pt 1 & 2, a black pt 1 & 2, and a silver demo pt 1 only,

do you know the difference between the black and silver releases (non promo) copies?

Mal this one was (I'm told) played among an expensive/rare NS set, it's in my top ten favs for last 12 months, and a cheapy

Wow, you can imagine what the last couple of hours have been like, listening to a lot of these!

One of the biggest things for me, and I don't do genres of music, I just believe that there are two kinds of music good and... Sh …. Not so good.

Now I do know a fair bit about music of most types, it goes with the job of working musician. However with the soul, I do know a fair bit but I know enough about soul to know that I don't know enough about it! That is one of it's major attractions to me, I love hearing a new toon, and for the most part I like most of it, sure there are one or two that don't blow me away, but I rarely if ever find myself switching off before a record is ended, and do class some of the records as some of the best music I've heard of any genre!

Great spins here, a good document about the current scene, thanks everyone and keep 'em coming! Superb! :hatsoff2:

Is it on vinyl Mark ?

Not that I'm aware of Andy......very much doubt it in terms of US.  Wouldn't be surprised if the 7" euphoria this side of the pond doesn't lead to a vinyl release!

Cheers,

Mark R
