ANDY BELLWOODS’ A CELLAR FULL OF SOUL’.  APRIL 2019

New/recent releases, 7ts, Jamaican, Motown, Northern & rarer, x-over, deep soul etc. were all featured in Andys’ weekly radio shows so far during April. Hopefully this mix gives a flavour of the vinyl diversity which went out over the airwaves.

One to mention is the track ‘another day’, which comes from a new 5 track 10” featuring various reggae artistes, inspired by and sampling ‘What’s going on’, with spoken word from one of the Funk Brothers during the intro.

Poignant, as this release coincided with what would have been Marvin Gaye’s 80th birthday, (April 2nd).
