Josep Manuel Concernau Robles
I have a question to ask you: Finally, this book, shows the entire Philadelphia Soul records by artists from Philly or from any other state or country (on PIR, Atlantic, Spring, Brunswick, Buddah, ABC,… or any other label) who recorded at Sigma Sound under the direction / assistance of the Philly regular writers, arrangers, producers, studio musicians? One of my personal obsessions is how hundreds (or thousands?) of records have been recorded by no obvious Philly artists, for example the Fania All-Stars LP co-produced by Vincent Montana, Jr. or the Lola Falana Philly stuff… the outside productions by Tom Bell (from Eloise Laws to Chuck Mangione), G & H (from Nancy Wilson to Sweet Inspirations), McFadden & Whitehead (from Melba Moore to James Brown), Harris-Baker-Young (from Four Tops to The Dells), Bobby Eli (from Jackie Moore to John Handy), Dexter Wansel (from Carl Carlton to Grover Washington, Jr.)... Thanks in advance by a spanish Philly Soul obsessed, Link to comment Social source share
