Julian From a classic oldies piont of view the Illusions on Lamon, Appreciations on Aware, Ann Sexton on Impel, Roy Roberts on Tina must be worth consideration, with many other great titles having some what less exposure. Numerous 70's dancers like the Saints, Vee Gees etc have also graced the northern scene. The other Vee Gees title is more my bag these days, but each to his own. Guest
The Embers were based in N.C. The great Jackie Gore was the main man! "First Time" JCP, "Crazy About You baby/Aware of love" EEE, "Where Did i Go Wrong" Atlantic, "Watch out Girl"MGM plus many more! I think "Girl Watcher" by the Okasions on North State was N.C. Don't know if "Something Bad" - Nomads on Mo-groove was N.C. but it really does sound like it! I think the 60's "sound" of N.C. is usually light, happy and fast, but often to a sad lyric!
