Hoping for some help.

What's the easiest way to post a sound clip on ebay?

I'm not sure how much you know about this area, so please forgive me if my reply is a bit over-detailed.

The only way I know how to do it is, firstly, find and play the song on a website, usually YouTube. Then highlight and copy (ctrl-C, or right-click the mouse and select 'copy') the URL from the top of the page (the line that starts https://)

Go you the description area of your sales post, and paste it there (ctrl-V, or right-click the mouse and select 'paste').

Hope this helps.

If you want to post your own soundclip, it now has to be from an https:// source (not http://). Set up a free basic dropbox account, or similar (eg. mixcloud), then you can link each clip directly to your eBay page.

Alternatively, there is eCommercePlayer (formerly auctionplayer), but it only plays from the start. If you try to scroll through it defaults to the end, so not good for listener.

Every link I've added in, be it soundcloud, dropbox or anything else, eBay has removed the link. Basically you can't post external links on eBay any more.

I've add in music players and they have also disabled them.

I'm really struggling to found out how to add a sound clip.

One thing I should have said is that if you are using dropbox, yo need to change the end of the url .

.... song.mp3?dl=0

needs to become

.... song.mp3?raw=1

This maybe causing you a problem.

I don't think we're not allowed to put up eBay links on this forum. so I'll pm you more detailed info in a few minutes, plus a live link using the above method.

Perhaps the easiest way is to use opendrive.com they have a free service that provides https secure connections (it is limited to 200mb a month or so), it is http links that ebay doesn't like. You need to upload to opendrive, right click the file once uploaded and select streaming URL, copy and paste URL, then add the following code to your listing HTML on ebay:

<audio controls> <source src="https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/m/example.mp3" /> </audio>

Where the URL between " " above is the streaming URL taken from opendrive.
