Not sure anything can be exciting as last season , well at least for Man City and Liverpool fans , but with transfer deadline day fast approaching things are already hotting up.

Koscielny leaving a nice vid on social media , homesick Big Boy Lukaku training with his little mates and Lampard out and Rooney in .... could you see Bale doing this , not from £600,000 a week .

Look out for a stronger United this season and boy are Everton splashing the cash , and a new stadium soon., what price top 4 spot .

Friday - 8pm ... come on Reds !

var added to this seasons mix

The key thing to know is the Premier League's guiding principle for VAR is that it be used for "clear and obvious errors" and "serious missed incidents" in four types of match-changing incidents:

Goals - whether they should stand or not based on potential violations (fouls, offside, etc) in the build-up.

Penalties - whether the referee has made the correct decision in either awarding one or not.

Straight red cards - did an incident on the pitch receive the correct punishment from the referee?

Mistaken identity - when a referee awards a yellow or red card to the wrong player following an on-field incident.

has to be a good thing... doesn't it?

Yes ... as long as they make sure that the crowds attending matches understand what’s going on and are informed quickly .

Football has a lot to learn from Rugby Union and Cricket ..

I know it’s not as straightforward in Football but at the moment they way the attending fans in the stadiums are kept informed is diabolical. Make it clear and obvious to all what’s going on .

Here's something to think about. On the eve of the premier league kick off. There's only four premier league clubs signed up to pay the living wage to the match day staff,  Biggest , richest  club in  the country Manchester United NO. Man  city NO. Liverpool  NO.  Chelsea.  NO.

It's a  fcuking disgrace . What will be done about it.  Sweet FA. pun intended.

Also ..

Campaign to sort out the foam that Refs use to mark free kick lines ... that bloody foam tonight was useless , my shaving cream would have done better .

Trent’s free kick second half - Norwich players went 3 yards forward because the line disappeared .. Nivia shaving cream - the shaving cream for Prem Refs !!

I’ll take a 4-1 win anytime ... off and running !
