trivia (n.)

"trivialities, bits of information of little consequence,"

as in

Tony Middleton once lived in Paris

Quote

After recording for several years without chart success, he moved to Paris in 1962. Where he was featured, that same year, on Louis De Funès movie "Nous irons à Deauville" performing the hit "Oh Yeah, ah ah!" and acquiring a large following.

seeing as it is Motown's 60 yr celebration weekend...

In 1970 Diana bought the Beverly Hills mansion owned by Donald Factor, son of Max Factor the make-up king. Price $300,000.

Whereas, this was her childhood home on Belmont St, Detroit.

although i knew Marvin Gaye had tried out for the Detroit Lions, I didn't know (until watching 'The Making of Motown' docu/film 30/9/19) The Lions were backup vocals on 'What's Going On'.

BTW-Smokey revealed it was his favourite album he said [Sic]'nothing(no other album) before or since comes close'

Barnaby bye were Bobby alessi,  Billy alessi, peppy castro Mike ricciardella the group were formed in73 by peppy formerly of the blue magoos. But if you listen to can't live this way  and the alessi, s hit Lori I'd say they where definitely lead on both. The four members are the only line up of the group. That are listed.

Marvin Gaye was in Washington dc doo wop group the rainbows  who recorded the song Mary Lee, which sounds a little like Jackie Wilson, before he joined the marquees with Harvey faqua

Just to clairfy,Don Covay was the only future Soul star who actually recorded with the Rainbows ( he joined after 'Mary Lee ' and sang on the follow-ups  'Shirley' and They Say' ) Marvin Gaye and Billy Stewart were friends and auxiliary members of the group-occasionally singing live with them when a member could'nt make a show or was ill.

Marvin did record with the Marquees, though, on Okeh, backed by  Bo Diddley & his band on the fine, uptempo 'Hey Little Schoolgirl' in 57' and as the uncredited vocal group  on Billy Stewart's lovely Doo-Wop ballad  'Baby,You're My Only Love' also on Okeh that same year.
