Value please - Drizabone Pressure 7" version

Posted (edited)

Hi

Can you help with this value please

Original on 4th and Broadway with picture sleeve EX condition.

I've been told it's back in demand but I've been given wildly varying valuations.

TIA

Julian

I assume you are saying that for a laugh, perhaps Julian should have explained which release

If it is the 7" with picture sleeve, I would say between £45 and £55 depending on condition

12" is little value

Blimey that's good stuff, course I guess there might be postage cost discrepancies depending on where the sellers lived and the delivery destinations to take into account for final cost which is why these variations are not really that helpful in the scheme of things, I wish these sites would include shipping costs in the actual prices to get a true average as they do actually know.

I recently bought (and cancelled an £11 single on Discogs) as the guy claimed he was doing business in the UK (according to his profile) and the shipping was £8) I bought one later for £14 + £2.50 shipping

That's the selling price, postage doesn't come into it, that is what the record actually sold for. country of origin.  It is probably, after an individual record list and a dealers website the most helpful and accurate price indicator.  Popsike would be bottom of the pile.

Postage is a necessary evil regardless of its point of sale.  Popsike, soul source, facebook, the sales are all world wide, just because the postage may be higher from one country doesn't make the record worth any less.  Given that the record was a UK release I would hazard a guess most of these are UK sales, the £99 even says the shop is in Essex.

The prices above would suggest an increase in demand with the price rising from around £50 up to £99 with three recent sales over £80.  The higher price would also reflect the condition as well don't you think?

Neither surprised or worried , picked up a goodly handful of them as a new release in '94 and sat on them knowingly ...

Better than the 'usual' mint , only one copy has even seen daylight and been removed from the sleeve ...

Lets see what a few more years will do to the 'value' ....

it's the 7" with the radio edit cut that is the high value one, all others are (mostly) still cheap but only the 45 has that edit from what I can see

Bought mine as a new release on the recommendation of Rob Wigley who spun it at The Hollingwood in his set amongst the likes of Charles Johnson etc and it didn't seem out of place. It seems to have gone up and down over the years but I've had very good offers for mine in recent times.
