Jimmy Hughes - original 1966 performance contract (Club Bali, Ocalla, Florida).

From the Walden Artists and Promotions estate. Performance booking contract for a January 1966 appearance at theClub Bali, Ocalla, Florida. Outlines the artist fees, deposit, terms and conditions, and rehearsal times. The contract represents the time when Jimmy Hughes was under Rick Hall at Muscle Shoals,  and within a couple of months prior to the release of "Neighbor, neighbour" on Hall's FAME label, which reached #4 in the R&B charts.

 

Arthur Conley - original 1970 performance contract (The Palladium, Atlanta, Georgia).                         

From the Waldon Artists and Promotions / Paragon Agency estate. An original performance booking contract (AGVA # 171XX) for an appearance by Arthur Conley at the Palladium, Atlanta, Georgia. Performance date June 1970 (amendments made as shown to venue and dates). Details of venue locations, rehearsal and show times, fees, terms and conditions, and deposit requirements are referenced. 

 

Tyrone Davis - original performance contract, signed by artist (Wilmer's Park, Maryland).

From the Waldon Artists and Promotions / Paragon Agency estate. An original performance booking contract (AGVA # BC 33568) for an appearance by Tyrone Davis at Wilmer's Park, in the town of Brandywine (yes!), Maryland. Performance date July 1972. Details of show times, fees, terms and conditions, and deposit requirements are referenced. Signed by the artist. This contract is from Davis' recording period at Dakar.
