Soul plays, spins, favs 2020

Nice one 2Shoes. Not too jazzy for me. Track has a nice swing to it with some tasty keyboard work. An album to investigate methinks....

Well that made a difference cranking up the volume, listened initially on my phone which I often do first thing in the morning whilst (I'll leave that there ), played it through the sound bar totally different experience, had a little chuckle to myself imagining the looks on the faces of a couple of mates if they heard this played out :g::g:👍

Yep, Randy is a very fine singer who had a run of quality albums in the 70s/80s. This is a really nice track...

Couldn't agree more 2 great LP's/CDs or whatever you should call them.  This is where I run into trouble with the OVO police, in that if I had original CD why couldn't I play them??!!!    Heading to build my barricade and put on PPE!!!!!

Agree 100% . Was once playing Johnnie Taylor “real love “ through a Walkman through the decks , guy came up raving over it as he didn’t know it , saw it was cd only and turned his nose up , I mean why deprive yourself of a great tune and JT of a sale ( since then you can get it on a Legit malaco vinyl lp but at the time it was  Cd known only ) . It was simple and still is simple enough to run a CD player through the system. I must add I’m talking about cd only tracks on release and not compilation cds etc , I did start a thread of ‘cd only tracks that you love ‘ for this reason . Could never get my head around people paying for one track vinyl Carvers  and not even bothering to buy the whole cd album at a quarter the costs .

I had to think twice before posting this one, think it definitely falls into the Marmite catergory , it starts off typical Barry but after the minute mark where the drums kick in it fair chugs along,

High class vocalising from Glenn Jones and Genobia Jeter on this modern gospel belter. The way Glenn comes in around the 1'40' mark is just thrilling.....

This is a good 'un. They did some fine tracks, though much suffered from the flat production which was in vogue in the 80s/90s. This features a fuller production and real instruments, along with a very strong all round vocal performance.
