Many thanks to Marco & Cowboy, shout out to Nate too. Soul from every decade & genre appreciated by everyone. Ill post a playlist from me for the two days asap, but Im using work pc right now as I have probs with home pc & my memory is shot. The weekend is run by the Incrimminators scooter club & is thier annual rally. Marco & Brian have nothing to do with the club particularly but are hired each year to provide the sound system & DJ's for the evening do's. DJ wise this year was quite low key but in the past there have been some extremely high profile DJ's appearing from all over the US. I have been fortunate enough to have been asked to do this for the last three years. Im not sure if either Brian or Marco are members of this forum, if so they may want to comment, but this is just a small part of the promotions that they are involved with, both in NC & all over the US. They have a monthly soul night as well as lots of other funk n soul promotions which also cover a multitude of other music genres, some quite interesting but not all of interest to the soul nuts, all over the Raleigh, Duram, White Chapel triangle, big University so lots of potential punters too. Any potential interest from the UK scene for this weekend would be most appreciated Im sure, but please do not expect a Prestatyn or Cleethorpes type weekender, its a fantastic weekend deffo, but not for everyone, so check it before you make the trip across the pond. The guys in the US are really great no misconceptions, distinct lack of politics, & they love to dance mostly to anything. I hope that I will be as well received back home now.
