Hi after just listening to my Tommy Navarro 'I cried my life Away' , it got me wondering as to what other similar Latin soul tunes similar to this we have on the scene.

Thanks

Everyone's also forgotten David & Rubin/The Majestics - probably the biggest latin spin of them all. Dx

There are plenty of great Latin tunes out there but not many that are similar to Mr Navarro, this comes as close as they come I guess.

Along with the gems above; The Rubies-Spanish Boy, Mongo Santamaria- We Got Latin Soul, El Pussycat ,  The Checkmates-Mastered The Art Of Love and many more Latin and Latinesque delights that I'm trying to think of!

Some great Latin influence soul records all good the ones posted, I suppose Ben E King with the Drifters and solo  circa 1960 -63 is a great example of this Genre all his stuff did it for me, A few British stars dipped their toes in this style early sixties Jimmy Justice etc and they turned out well produced sounds,

The TNT Band : "That's  life".

The Fashions  "Why don't you stay a little longer".

And one that's a little more contemporary :

Thee Lake siders, "Parachute".
