Full list with sound and scans can be viewe here: https://mailchi.mp/430e1458b5db/1nc6s8682q-4958486

Jerry Blackshear – Defected / You are the one – Eral 1438

Probably needs no introduction. Clean OG copy of one of the best modern 45s out there. Flipside has always been a bit overlooked but is definitely worth checking out too.

Visual grade: VG+ to EX

€2250

Oscar Toney, Jr – Keep on loving me / I’ve found a true love – King 45-6108 DJ Copy

Monster soulful R&B dancer in beautiful condition.

Visual grade: M-

€220

Isaac Price II – Let’s make love while it’s raining / Funky sweep – Revolving 201

Quirky sweet ballad with a deep funk flip. Copy seems to have been exposed to heat at some point. Has some minor warping that’s visible but not audible, and a part of the very outer edge (not even touching the run-in) shows slight deformation around 7 o’clock. Has a sticker on label caused by publishing issues.

Visual grade: VG+

€150

Junior Kimbell – Tram? / You can’t leave me – Philwood 204

Heavyweight blues funk version of the Lowell Fulsom tune.

Visual grade: M-

€120

The 5 Royales – Not going to cry / Take me with you, baby – Home Of The Blues 232

Two vibrant soulful R&B sides from the top shelf.

Visual grade: VG+ to EX

€100

Major Makers Choral – Bring back the joy / Heaven – Him-Ek 101

Impossible to find crisp gospel breaks from Long Beach, CA with a jazz edge.

Visual grade: G+

€100

Esther Phillips – Nobody but you / Too much of a man – Roulette 7059 DJ Copy

Solid crossover winner. A couple of superficial scuffs but plays solid.

Visual grade: VG

€100

Philip Wilson and The Co-Real Artists – I’m gonna tell God / Instrumental & Background Voices – Jordan 1013

Super rare 70s deep Cali gospel. Comes with the matching company sleeve which you won’t be seeing again anytime soon.

Visual grade: EX

€100

Whizz Kids – Magic connection / I couldn’t love you again – Sunday DS-1010

Invisible leftfield disco cut with a somewhat less attractive flip.

Visual grade: VG

€100

Roy Montrell – That mellow saxophone / Oooh wow – Specialty 583-45

Fifties jump blues dancer. Flipside label has been mishandled in an alleged attempt of a cover-up.

Visual grade: VG+

€80

Ann Robinson – The letter / Love you – Rising-Soul 101

Deep soul ballad with a nice popcorn flip.

Visual grade: VG+ to EX

€80

Marva W. Taylor – Nothing I’d rather be than your weakness / I’ve lived the life – Forte 5015-24

Mid-tempo crossover that oozes quality.

Visual grade: EX

€80

Wayne Toombs – I found my dreams in you / That’s the way it will always be – Youngstown 603

Under the radar slice of garage soul. Marks on surface but this heavy pressing hits hard.

Visual grade: VG-

€75

Little Johnny Williams – Invitation to a dance / A house that ain’t a home – King Walk 568

New Orleans R&B rarity with a sought-after deep soul flip. Marks on surface but both sides play very well.
