Lester tipton-this wont change

How moody and soulful do you need to go 🤔

Gerri Grainger. I go to pieces

Johnnie mae Mathew's.  I have no choice.

Four Tops.  Ask the lonely

Originals. Baby I'm for Real

More the overall sound and feel of the tune my mate! Things like cecil washington have an almost sinister sound to it,especially on the piano break, the bside is proper moody too!

Tell you what you've reminded me of what a top tune this is,much better than “i keep trying” and it sounds like something you’d pay a lot of money for! A class record for affordable money! Nice one mate👍

In fact doesnt it sound like something off the “groovesville” label? Has a sound of steve mancha at the helm!

Jimmy Burns - 'It used to be' - Tip Top ...........for me too............how moody and pleading can a voice be!  Still gives me goosebumps.

Also released as a misspress?  as Lee Wilson on USA Records I think too ...... or is it a different artist?

It sounds more like hybrid sound, like Richard Parker's recordings with Golden World/Ric-Tic, than Don Davis' Groovesville recordings.
