The Yank Posted October 28, 2021 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Great article - one minor detail . Clyde Mcphatter had left the group sometime in '54 or '55 and been cutting solo singles since then . Daniel Nooger Posted October 28, 2021 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Producer / writer Bert Berns revitalized the Drifters on record for a couple of years beginning with "Under The Boardwalk", through "I'll Take You Where The Music's Playing", "Up in The Streets of Harlem", etc. Leiber & Stoller's production of Burt Bacharach's "Land Of Make Believe" is another classic from this period. 1 Link to comment Social source share More sharing options...
