Bargain Garage Soul and Moody Blue Eyed Ballads

Recommended Posts

The Chosen Few - Baby Don’t Do It (B.F.D.) Mint- £50

Already getting played by one or two of the better and more progressive DJs (am told Greg Belson dropped it in a set the other weekend). Driving garage soul dancer with killer drums. Not an easy one either, lovely copy, be quick!

Rock-A-Go Go’s - I’m Out To Win You All Over (Flower Power) Vg (looks worse than sounds, minimal noise and mostly overpowered by the recording, ballad flip fairs less well and plays closer to Vg-) £20

Killer garage soul dancer on a couple of playlists so expect interest to rise. Moody ballad flip is nice too, although suffers from some background noise). Right for now? You bet it is!

Action Brass - When The Spirit Moves Me (Cartay) Mint- (with pic sleeve see image) £40

Storming garage soul that’s had some plays in the past without taking off. In a few upfront DJs boxes from what I can understand so likely to see some turntable action again shortly, feels like the right time for this one. Another to buy now while it’s cheap!

Accents - Why (Banger) Mint- £35

My personal favourite of today’s batch, killer moody garage ballad version of Lonnie Mack’s ‘Why’. Had everything needed for today’s more progressive sets.
