Some awsome tracks here and many I don't know, probably because I don't come out to play. Any way, what is the deal? do you decide what you are going to play, and write it down and just do it? When I used to do some nights in the late 70s and 80s, I didn't know what I was going to play,I just used to go through the box before I started, but that would change by dancefloor reaction or just on a whim. I certainly couldn't say what I played after the night ended, except for a couple of tracks I would remember.

I have found that it's better to have game plan. If you go by the crowds reaction, you just keep looking for those 100mph stompers, instead of grabbing quality tunes. There is an art to balancing the energy of dancefloor. Keep it too high too long and peoples enthusiasm seems taper off. At least that seems to be case here in the states...lazy Americans! :D

Yes mine ends like that too. I can't imagine they're all like that though, just a pressing fault on the odd few me thinks, but I maybe wrong...

I first heard it on Manship's 'Rarest of the Rare' and have loved it ever since, but was told it was very rare and would cost me £600, which thankfully it didn't as eBay was flooded the next week! whistling.gif

The record in question was "I'm Thru' Losing You" by King George and the Timps on Midtown. Keb played it covered up as "Baby We're Through" by the Chessmen. Funny, I quite liked it as it was fast, noisy and manic - just the way I like 'em!!

Arthur Fenn found a job lot of them, as I bought one from him for £10. Strangely enough, we were chatting about the record last month, and his recollection of the find was really interesting!!

Released in October 1967.
