A new Soul/Norhtern night opens this Saturday 29th in Walthamstow, North East London. Walls of Heartache is at the Cavern 524, Forest Road, E17 9pm-1am and we'll be playing classic Motown/Northern and showing some old footage of Marvin/Tammi and loads more.

Looks like being busy for our first night and we need a good one to help us make this a regular last Saturday of the month night (Feb is already booked).

There's nowhere else you can go and dance to 60s soul in our entire borough so if you live over this way or anywhere near the M25/North Circular, please join us. Friendly night, £4 on the door. Nearest tube Walthamstow Central on Victoria Line - loads of buses drop outside - 123, 275, 34, 69, 97.

Last night was a great success. We were very busy (over 100) and went on til 1.45am. We couldn't have had a better night for our opening.

We'll be adding some pics etc to our website in thbe nxt few days. A big thnaks to everyone who came along and hello to the Soul Source mob who turned up.

Next Walls Of Heartache is Saturday Feb 26th with Stephen Street guesting.

Me and the missus live about 5 minutes drive from this venue so it was great to be able to visit somewhere so near with classic soul.

It was a good night, music was good, well done Andy & Dave. We got there about 10.15, but it was pretty packed, and alot of people just standing around drinking the dance floor. There was a chillout room next door which is where these people should be guided. Later on it was better with more people dancing. They screen showing rare soul clips was also good. We went with our fellwo Walthamstow modsters Mark Ellis and his girlfriend Jo. We did get some odd look from some of the punters, and a couple of girls where pointing at Jo and laughing at her mod clothes, I reckon these were a couple of sad locals. What's wrong with people!!! I think there were a few locals who just go there for a late Saturday drink, but on the whole really good night. We'll be back next month.

Thanks for the kind words - a great start for us and glad you liked the music and the visuals. We know what you mean about the dance floor being taken up by drinkers early on (very bad form) and there were just one or two odd locals who we don't think will be back.

It actually got better as a few people disappeared around midnight for tubes etc. More room for those of you who made the effort to look smart and dance right.

Thanks for coming and hope to see you on Feb 26th. Say 'hello' to us.

Andy
