mikeysoul
Have recently picked up an LP by Bobby Jones on Toya records (logo is like a Chinese dragon) cat. no.T-LP2000, which has the title track, plus the following Lonely Man I got a habit Please bless our home Check me out Welcome bak a foolish man Goin' into my act I am so lonely (in my apartment) No Messin' around Lovin' hard, livin' good One bird You gotta have love (in your heart) So tracks from Expo, Kack & possibly other labels The front cover is a collage of newspaper type clippings, lot'sa people sitting & ambling around & drawn faces, which gives the impression of a more recent LP. But the reverse looks more sixties. Cover or label gives no indication of year or where pressed so just wondered if anyone had any info, is it a later issue than the recordings (70's possibly or even more recent)? Nice way to get some of his best stuff though. The guy it was from recently bought a large collection of mainly LP's, which had alot of rare Prog stuff, but also a few Soul bits (inc. Jean Wells - World! here comes...(Sonet) & Bobby Bland - A piece of gold (action), also purchased), all in virtually pristine condition, which has prompted the question & get people talkin' 'bout Jones! Grateful for any info if known Cheers Mike Link to comment Social source share
