vaultofsouler
Starting a proper "review" thread as Ian (supercorsa) asked on "Events".... Any reviews or/and playlists? Interested to see how it went last night. Well.... the night started very early for some of us.... but we'll leave that little "beer tasting exercise" out of it for now.... and when I say "beer tasting", it sure was.... a pub just of the main drag had "god knows" how many "guest beers" on.... it read like a food menu.... owt from just under 4% (normal type beers) up to those around about 6% (liquid kwosh ).... Anyway.... got to Qube on the 7.30 mark ready for the off.... the Brettmeister was first up to ease everybody in up until 9.30pm.... the man, eventually ( us early birds know ), did a stirling job.... I'm sure Brett will eventually get round to putting his 2 hours worth on here if he reads it.... The place began to get people in throughout this time.... nice to see Chalky in attendance in this early period.... and other SS's and "localish" types.... After Brett Franklin came Mr Sean Hampsey.... always guaranteed to get "summat different" from Sean.... he played a very well put together set as "copied" from the other thread here.... despite his bad luck with "mother nature" spoken about else where on here.... Sean did 9.30-10-30.... Here's Mine..... Hollywood Flames - I'm Coming Home - Symbol Eldridge Holmes - Worried Over You - Jet Set Inell Young - I've Never Considered - Busy B Joey Gilmore - Somebody Done Took My Baby And Gone - Saadia Robert Moore - Tears Of The Worls - Blue Candle Barbara Mason - You Better Stop It - Arctic T J Williams - Baby I Need You - Josie Little Reuben - In The Name Of Loneliness - NR Gene Chandler - Without You Here - Curtom Tony Lampkin - He's A Better Liar Than Me - Jemkl 2001 Black Essence - Change In My Life - JWJ Chubby & The Turnpikes - I Know The Inside Story - Capitol LaSawn Collins - What You Gonna Do - Sincere Topics - Booking Up Baby - Mercury Buddy Causey - Theres A Way - Capitol Trumains - Ripe For The Pickin - RCA R B Hudmon - Cause You're Mine Now - Cotillion Towana - Wear Your Natural Baby - Romark Creations - A Dream - Zodiac Sam Dees - Funny - Acetate Bobby Womack - Runaway - Acetate Lonie Jones - Treat Your Baby Right - Jenmark Jimmy Tig - Everybodys Laffing - Tuska Enjoyed the night and the chance to play a few favourites. Cracking venue that should do really well for you Shane. Many thanks Sean After Sean came Mr Andy Whitmore.... well, anybody that knows Andy knows he never fails to deliver..... haven't got a playlist from Andy as he doesn't post on here.... sure if you want one Shane could sort it and publish it.... Andy made the 10.30-11.30 spot disappear all too quickly.... From 11.30 until, initially, 12.30 it was yours truly.... I'm sure it was more like the 1.30 mark that we finally packed in and called it "time".... reason I say this is because I lost track of time and can only go on the amount of records that I played that I made sure I put in the front of my box in front of a piece of cardboard to remember them for when I did this playlist .... Anyway.... here's what I played the last 1-2 hours until "lob out" time.... should be "mostly" in order but I'm sure I shoved some in front of, and behind, others due to the 's passing my lips by this time.... No Time For You - The Commands - Dynamic Under The Street Lamp - The Exits - Gemini Unnecessary Tears - The Fantaisions - Satalite (Please) Take A Chance On Me - The Arabians - Le Mans What Good Am I - The T.S.U.
