Darkhorse01252
Well we would like to first start by saying a great big thanks to all the soulie`s that made it to this event and thanks to the Dj`s. I got tho the venue about 7 o`clock just to do a few last minute bits and by 7.30 the crowd started to slowly enter. It was myself and moldie starting behind the deck`s for the first 45 mins with some nice little warm up jems just to welcome people as they arrived. It was then Danny Norths turn to do his 45 mins set which got a few people on the dance floor with some cracking tunes like Chubby & the Turnpikes (track list to follow) It was then the turn of Mischief who never seems to play a bad spot wherever i hear him play.( Hopefully we will see his playlist added at a later time) He had a blinding 45 mins that filled the floor a little more as there were more soulies turning up all the way through the first few hours.Next up was Soul Shoes best Gary Todd that went straight in with his R&B tunes followed by a great set of oldies and the floor was filled up now with plenty of people seeming to be up for making this another great night. After Gary hour it was then time for Dave Abbott to play his jems and what a great set he played. The floor was filled at time to the like of Forsten & Scott, Bill Bush & Unique Blend being played.(Look our for his play list)It was then time for myself and Moldie to finish the evening with a right across the board set which included a couple of requests like Doug Banks,The Artistic and a couple others that we will also be listing a little later. Ive got to say i was a little worried that the numbers might be down a little as there were a couple of local do`s on but there was no need as we had another great turn out with old and new faces. So myself and Danny would like to thank everyone for making this a great night (Hope i aint bored the crap out of ya with my report for the night) Link to comment

Guest
well this was farnborough towns 2nd night and it was every bit as good as the first great dj line up ensured that there would be a real mixture of tunes chris and i were up first and it was great to play tunes that we wouldnt necessarily play in a later spot but still had some interest on the floor danny "backdrop" north was on next and followed us with a nice set of underplayed tunes and after all these years still has a real passion for his music next up was mischief who never fails to please with his tunes.....mind you he gets lots from me paul always does the business and its great to get him down to farnborough on a regular basis gary todd came to the decks having to keep the great tunes coming and did well and as the pics will show in a later post a mainly full floor was the norm dave abbott was next up and this man needs no introduction..from rare to classics and rnb to 7ts his set was the mutts nuts the last set was left to chris and i once again and we tried to give everybody what they wanted...even soulsmith and bruce who wanted more modern a real enjoyable evening for me which was helped by the warm welcome from the promters and there girls im already looking fwd to the next one in sept my playlist and pics to follow moldie Link to comment

Supercorsa
Another good night down at Farnborough. I didn't get down there until about 9, where upon entering Mischief was on the decks. Like I said before Farnborough is my type of venue, not too large but not too small either and a great sound system (loud and clear). A few more punters through the door wouldn't go amiss, although saying that it was far from empty. I can't believe that more people don't attend, especially with the quality of guest DJ's that have been on in just the two events. The tunes that the resident Dj's play are not too bad either! Anyway I spent most of the night chatting by the bar, whilst tapping my feet and stroking my chin . I did have a look through Moldies sales box, but having already done my budget for this month was unable to buy anything . It was good to see Colin out and about, although he was continuously pestered by fans requesting autographs . Gary Todd & Dave Abbott yet again two of the finest DJ's from down by the south coast playing great sets, well done lads. Gave Colin a lift home at the end, also great to get in and not smell of smoke. Keep up the good work Chris & Danny, see you on the 15th! Link to comment

Guest Simon
didnt you like anyone else tunes...lots of £50 toons played All the sets look good Moldie, just that Dave's playlist stood out as it was right up my street & i mainly commented because 'Shindig City' was listed & i was chuffed to see it. Mischief's looked the most interesting as it seems to be uniquely his own style & a lot of stuff in their that nooone else plays & i like that. I will deffo try & make one of these dos as they look, dancefloor looks nice & spacious also! Simon Link to comment
