Mark B Posted July 22, 2007 Share Posted July 22, 2007 Greatstone Soul Club last night (oldies night) Hi everybody First thanks to everyone for making it a great night for mine and budgies joint 50th celebration. special thanks to Paul and donna janet and tony and hilary. for all the preparations. thanks for all my cards and pressies. We had a great night and big shout to mick and mo not only for their long distance travelling but for the superb music in their spot, thanks to phil wainwright awesome spot full of diversity. thanks to stevie (some great cover ups) budgie's spot, spot on did you play your pressie, tony and paul an excellent spot especially like the nonchallant way paul cued up (think it was dunn and bruce street? devaki) listening on headphones and then pressed play and the turntable was on 33rpm i changed the speed and he turned round and said "it sounded ok over the headphones" the smoking ban seemed to go ok as the weather held up and no one got wet venturing outside. for me it was good as didnt go home smelling of smoke, i will put up my playlist later and everyone else will asap. mark mark Link to comment

Great party atmosphere too! Great to see the younger crowd down also.(Even played your deep funk requests!LOL) Thanks to Alan for the lift home, although he did say that now i've past my test i'll be driving him about to pay back about 15years worth of liftsLOL.
