Guest
Can anyone fill me with info (so to speak!) on this as well. I know its supposed to be unissued, but someone mentioned a picture sleeve of it existing that ISN'T a bootleg. Can anyone shed any light? Link to comment Social source share

Motown made these for a business convention in limited numbers. Delegates were given a copy each - loads were left behind and 'swept up' by Janitors as most record execs don't have the means to play them. Comes in a authentic 60s style sleeve, but catalogue numbers are obviously modern. Link to comment Social source share

Guest
Cheers Joe, Simon. I see the last one on ebay went for £200, but I guess it is an 'official' release after all. Lucky janitors! Link to comment Social source share
pikeys dog
A record shop in Sheffield was offered a handfull (not five - literally a hand full) at £8 a pop but turned them down. I missed the one copy that they had bought for £20. Ended up paying about £60 for one a month later, this was around 1999? Link to comment Social source share

Guest Netspeaky
I think you'll find the copies came via New York dealer/collector Greg Tormo, who got them off a person who was cleaning up after a Motown Convention. I got mine off Greg not long after he had copies. Link to comment Social source share
Ian Seaman
I heard that Dave Withers was there helping the janitors hoover up and taking a few copys away with him. I got mine a few years back off Henry Atkinson. Ian. Link to comment Social source share
