The atmosphere was out of this world with sounds from Wigan, Blackpool Mecca and the Torch, it was like going back in time. With DJ's Barry Looker, Gibby and Paul Panton, plus guest DJ's Paul Perry and Trevor Davison. The floor was packed all night with a fantastic crowd, who at the end of the night said they cannot wait till the next one. It may have to be ticket only for future events but the August venue will be pay on the door. Like to thank Paul Panton and guest DJ Trevor Davison who travelled from Kettering via taxi which cost them £26 but as they said it's not the money it's the love of Northern Soul. Also like to thank Paul Perry and Jackie who made it back in time from down South for Paul to take his spot on the decks. Thanks for your comment it was a good night ,however I just want to make it clear although Kev has been helping out with the flyers we are not involved with the running of the Soul Shack. Also the only reason why Gibby started it up was because he was asked to do so by a number of soulies as it was always a great venue and due to no more events being booked there he went ahead. As you know Kev will help anybody out with any venue, as he has done in the past up North. See you next week when you come down for the all dayer. Gloria Link to comment
