Guest Posted July 30, 2007 Share Posted July 30, 2007 (edited) The Dreamgirls Soul & Motown Charity Revue @ The Victoria Theatre, Halifax - SATURDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER Three friends Hannah Cygan-Wrobleski, Kate Hardcastle and Lisa Roberts are organising and performing in this Soul & Motown charity event in September. This event hopes to raise over £10,000 for three charities The Next Step Trust, Breast Cancer Care and the Halifax Stroke Club. As well as raising money for some great causes, the girls will be backed by a group of professional musicians including members of Corinne Bailey Rae's backing band. There will be a number of celebrity comperes on the night, a fabulous raffle and auction including signed items by Diana Ross, Lionel Ritchie and The Real Thing. Smokey Robinson has also offered his support by recording a video message to open the show. The highlight for many though will be the appearance of a genuine Motown great, who will be performing some of their classic hits. All will be revealed in the next few weeks as to who that will be.
