Guest DJ Bob Hinsley always puts together a nice set and Saturday was no exception - Bob is now a regular guest at Broughton - more from him next year. Mark Speakman played a variety of in-demanders and rarities - including 'second mortgage' The Prophets - (If I had) One Gold Piece on Shrine. Sam and I rounded the night off with a mix of northern, crossover and (more than usual) modern tunes to satisfy requests from the floor. What a fantastic night! Next month we have a West Midlands influence with guests being PEP and Gary Powell. Further down the line (April) we are putting on a special connoisseurs' crossover and modern night with Baz Maleady and Phil Blacknell guesting alongside Sam and me. Hope everyone will find this night to be interesting and worth coming for - we are certainly looking forward to running it. As usual superb, plush venue, great dance floor and cheap bar prices that leave you with plenty of change in your pocket on Sunday morning. Brian Link to comment
