I bought a US issue for $26 last night) Nice one Pete, but my understanding was that they initially had Jay Traynor of Up and Over fame on lead .... and then he left to be replaced by David (Jay) Black. So do we think the singer on Got Hung Up sounds like the singer of Up And Over and the answer must be - YES Don't think so, known chronology on the group indicates Traynor was long gone by '68 when Hung Up was recorded, and IMO vocal on Hung Up is quite different from Traynor. But I've got some footage of the original singer (on that doo-wop show, taped about 5 years ago, I posted a few clips up) and he is introduced as Jay Black, he does Cara Mia and sommat else and he is the definitely the guy singing on the original records.
