Jerry Hipkiss
VALERIE & BOBBY CAPERES - WEST 4TH ST [ ATLANTIC ] link This was the one that did it for me - never heard it before although Eddie assures me it's on "After Hours" vol. 3...chatting away and this classic instr. comes on, we're all wondering what it is, as it's the kind of track that you think you've known for years. Great sets both times Eddie, (just sorry that numbers were a bit down ), in fact musically the night was better than ever. Jerry. Link to comment

See you soon ,Best Wishes ,Eddie . Link to comment
Guest Johnny Mack
Nice playlist ! Chubby Checker : Looking at tomorrow - Great record . Remember Levine spinning this at the Casino on his one and only night at Wigan. Only ever had white label demos of this - anyone got an issue ? There is a UK issue (could be Colombia) by the songwriter - bit on the poppy side Funk fans need to flip the Capers 45 -Wildcattin'- is one mean piece o funk. Link to comment
Guest Johnny Mack
Suffering from brain freeze - Levine also played the Travelling Man that night, in fact he played a stunner of a set - had a tape of that set which I think ended up with Bernie Golding and latterly with Brian Wakelin. Ones I remember were Jeanette Williams x 2 Lloyd Price - Cupids Bandwagon Morris Chestnut 4 seasons - change Happy days indeed Link to comment
