It's a bit tricky, but possible...

let's say that you want to download Pete's second northern mix...

The mix can be found on this page:

https://www.soul-source.co.uk/index.p...cmd=si&img=3943

Go to "view source" (or something like that) in the tab next to "edit" (can't remember what it's called in english) in your browser.

A new window opens.

Click "edit" and then "search".

Search for "mp3".

You will find this link:

uploads/1110659428/gallery_1893_80_1922682.mp3

Now... paste that after the following:

https://www.soul-source.co.uk/

And you'll get a link like this:

https://www.soul-source.co.uk/uploads..._80_1922682.mp3

Now... "right click" on the link above and choose "save target as".

Do this for all the files you want to download...

Or Mike could just add an option of "download this file" on the sounds page...

at the moment the site can not add download links to all the tracks for a number of reasons

as the site is public the main reason is a legal one, which is one of reasons we state that all tracks uploaded should not be in full

site did trial out podcasting of radio shows and that feature will return as soon as time allows

not that helpful i know but thats as it is at moment

Another way to do it would to record from source (Anything that is bieng played through your PC speakers) using a sound recorder.

I use Audacity which is a great tool and is totally free which you can download from here.

https://audacity.sourceforge.net/

You can record from source , save and then with a bit of practice learn to edit. I think you can even remove vocals to make them into instrumentals.

Ive got The Dells Running for cover playing at the moment so I click on Audacity to open the programme and the recorder appears.

There is a box with 6 options - Line in - Aux - CD Player - Video - Mic - Stereo mixer.

Click on Stereo mixer and then record and it records whats bieng played through your speakers. Line in records from your deck ect. You can then edit if you need to and then save as lets say Dells - Run.

Hope this helps Pete.

Worth it in the long run especially with a bit of practice especially the editing tools which are superb!

You might need to convert to MP3 but you can get tools easily for this.

get a copy of cool edit from the web

you can record any sound that comes into / out of youre speakers and then save as mp3 wma etc

ideal for recording stuff from real player format so you dont have to log on all the time to listen to it.

also useful for recording records to cd and has a great click and pop removal feature
