Sharon Cooper
Agree with the above: Nige did what was necessary; `Get `em up and dancin!!` which he did very well. Cressy Played some stuff that we were able to dance to and so all in all (for us) worth braving the cold night air for!! (Sorry about the grammar!) Sharon Link to comment

Guest Fatius Bumius
Not been to Bentinck for a good while. Glad we went. Had a really good night. Didn't know which room to stay in but the main room started off with John Heaney playing a few underplayed bits, nice to listen too them in the background while yakking and catching up with a few folks. 2nd DJ, did try and get a dancefloor with a few oldies, seemed like the dancefloor didn't want to dance until about 10 o'clock though! 10pm it was either Cunnie or Nige Brown, we sat in the main room listening to Nige B and never made it into the back room to listen to Cunnie! Sorry Cunnie. Did manage to sneak in the backroom to listen to Mark Hopes, I lasted 3 odd records before Cressy played something which made my feet wanna dance which sent me back into the main room to throw myself out of shape on the dancefloor. I had a dance to a few from what a I remember, I blame the beer. You did a good spot Cressy, nice one All in all, a good night Link to comment

(cressy, probably one of the most underated dee-jays in the east midlamnds). i like bentinck miners, i like the people, i like the music policy, i like the dance floor, i also like the fact that there are two rooms, one for those who like their soul on the 'rarer' side. i missed cunnie and the others in that room because i like to dance and... there's just not a lot of room for dancing in the 'rare' room, but that does not detract from it's value, for hearing lesser played gems, other than the attic in mansfield there are not many places delivering this service. a great night, a bit thin on the ground but well worth the 90 plus mile journey from snowy skegness) images on site below Edited March 25, 2008 by coops Link to comment
