Neil Self
Hi there, just a short email to say thankyou to all who attended the club last night. It was another resounding success! Particular thanks go out to all the DJs who did fantastic jobs keeping the dancefloors full. Playlists to be posted up please guys and gals DJ serpico warmed room 2 up nicely with some chilled out sounds and some nice funky vibes handing over to Steve Lloyd to continueGavin Page unfortunately couldn't make it due to being ill, (hope you get better soon mate!) So Steve Lloyd & Ady Pountain got extended dj sets, no complaints from either of them as they both just love to spin in the modern room. Well done guys, hope you enjoyed yourselves. Jon Willis, Mick Lloyd, Hippo & Pete Lyster all did fantastic sets in the northern room to keep the place rocking!! again thanks for all your sets. room three was again very successful and a BIG thankyou to Jinksy, Hippo, Don Palmer and Sue Taylor for sharing the night and making that room what it is. Further thanks go out to everyone who helped me this time. Jon Willis, Colin Tindall, Rob Adams,Jinksy, Bev,Caine & my lovely wife Ann ( my back is much rested now, so thanks for that) I've saved the BIGGEST thankyou till last, and that goes out to all the Soulfusion Massive (currently standing at 1,920) who come back regularly from near and far to help create such a fantastic atmosphere. "YOU ARE A VERY SPECIAL BUNCH OF PEOPLE, THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT " I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday 31st May for another BIG soulful night out! I spoke to one of the guys after his set, pointed to the dance floor and commented that after 30 years or more the dance floors are still packed. Great venue, Great music, Great crowd, What more do you want ???? A lot of 'newcomers' in as well, which I like to see. (the future audience.) One person you did NOT thank and that was YOURSELF (no pun intended!) A BIG THANK YOU for organising a brilliant event. We know what hard work it takes to get everything together. We took Paul with us this time, (Soulfusion virgin) and he loved it as soon as he walked in. He even danced before I did !!!!!! He said it was the BEST night he had been to so far and can't wait for the next one. Thanks again and see you at our night in May, Maz, Del, and Paul. Oxford Soul Club Link to comment
