Guest topcatnumpty1 Posted March 23, 2008 Share Posted March 23, 2008 Well didn,t make Wilton(work commitments!) nearly didn,t get to the Orwell,when we woke up and saw the snow on Sat morning---but glad we made the effort.Very strange getting off the train at Wigan Wallgate for the first time in about 25 yrs!!!By the way Wigan town centre has gone ---Station Rd. does not exsist anymore---Taxi driver says"That,s where the Casino was "(poiting at the enormous shopping mall!). Anyway the Orwell--easy to find--great nite--lovely to finally meet Shaun Robbins and Bob the Crate,Nicky and Blake,Neil,Linda,Sean and all the Wakefield City Soul Gang---great music --special mentio to Steve Plumb--great spot and he sold me some nice sounds(finally got a copy of "Girl Overboard" after 15 yrs. of looking!! Nice guest house (altho i don,t remember going home!!!) bloody good nite--oh and Hull City won yet again!!!) Keep on etc. Tony and Rani Link to comment

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for starting the thread We had a ball on Friday! Both rooms were very well attended and the atmosphere in both rooms was great all night! A great way to celebrate our 8th Anniversary! Will put down some more thoughts when i get chance this week BUT suffice to say a big THANKS to everyone who supported us I don't think this will be the last you all hear of the 'choose yer room' approach at The Orwell cos it worked a treat!!!!!!!!!!!
