Hi Max/Soulies

From your vast knowledge, could you please suggest what you would regard as five top all time classics from the days of The Catacombs.

And all you very knowledgeable soulies, what do you reckon to the same at Wigan barring the 3 before 8

Blimey it is a hard question!! Its probably easier to split the atom than restrict it to 5.

Looking forward to hearing those 5 and many more at the 'Cats' special at Rugeley in July

At Wigan I think these five amonst many great tunes, the first three for pure energy and then some

Joe Hicks - Don't it make you feel funky

Lou Pride - I'm coming home in the morning

James Lewis - Manifesto

Ronnie McNeir - Sitting in my class

Sam Williams - Love slipped through my fingers

Cheers

I can give you the 5 that made me decide to stop going to Wigan

Police Story - whoever

Theme from coloured man - tedy van's do da

You can count on me - Sammy Davis Jnr

Joe 90 - some tosser

and the record I walked out on when it was played

Mickey Mouse's Concerto in B major, I kid you not

Of course there were lots of superb sounds that will live in my heart forever, but the commercialism and expoitation killed it for me
