Sunnysoul Posted October 20, 2008 Share Posted October 20, 2008 don't forget Blowflys' take on it, sHittin on dock of the bay. steve Yep, that's right, Blowfly's version is disgustingly funny, but even more hilarious and comical (and a hell of a lot cleaner!) is the version by Archie Bell and the Drells where Archie turns the lyrics around and laments the fact that Uncle Sam has called him up for army duty just when he's got the biggest record on the planet , so there is poor Archie just ... sitting on the dock of the bay .... !!!!
